An old hot tub weighs 800 pounds empty and won’t fit through the gate. Junk Services Houston breaks it down on site, carries out the pieces, and hauls everything away, usually in under two hours. Deck, patio, or sunken in a slab, we’ve done it.
First we drain any remaining water and disconnect the power (an electrician should have already cut the dedicated circuit). Then the crew removes the cabinet panels, pulls the pump and heater, and cuts the acrylic shell into sections with a reciprocating saw. Everything goes out through the gate or over the fence in pieces, onto the truck, and off to be recycled or disposed of. We sweep the pad and haul the cover, steps and any leftover chemicals’ containers. Most residential hot tubs are gone in 60 to 120 minutes.
Hot tub removal is part of our light demolition work. If it’s bolted, built or buried in your backyard, we can take it apart and haul it.
Homeowners who try to move a hot tub themselves usually end up with a cracked shell in the yard and a sore back. Rental dumpsters won’t take a whole spa, and the city won’t pick one up. Our crew has the saws, dollies and manpower to do it safely, and the price includes the demolition and the disposal. See our light demolition page for sheds, decks and fences, or our debris removal service for the leftovers of a bigger project.
Hot tub removal is priced per job based on size, access and whether it’s on a deck or sunk in a slab. The estimate is free, confirmed before we start, and includes the labor, cutting, hauling and disposal. Bring us any written quote from another Houston company and we’ll beat it. See pricing and deals.
It helps, but we can drain it on site if you’d rather not. The electrical circuit must be shut off before we arrive.
Yes. We cut the shell into pieces small enough to carry down stairs or through a standard gate.
Usually. We remove the shell and equipment and cap the hole. Concrete demolition beyond the shell is quoted separately.

No. Our crew removes items from wherever they are, inside or out, on any floor. Curbside pickups cost a bit less if you’d rather set things outside.
