Junk Removal FAQ: Straight Answers From a Local Houston Crew

Everything people ask before booking: pricing, same-day service, what we take, what happens to it, and how it works. If your question isn’t here, text us a photo and ask.

Booking & Same-Day Service

Yes. Call or text before noon and we can usually pick up the same day anywhere in Houston or the suburbs. Afternoon calls are often same-day too, depending on the route. Weekends included.

Furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, hot tubs, sheds, fences, construction debris, yard waste, garage and estate cleanout contents, office furniture and more. We can’t take hazardous waste like paint, chemicals, asbestos or fuel tanks.

No. Our crew does all the lifting from wherever the items sit: upstairs, backyard, attic or storage unit. If you’d rather not be there, we can arrange a no-contact pickup after you confirm the estimate.

Usable furniture and household goods go to Houston-area charities. Metal, appliances and electronics are recycled. Only what can’t be reused or recycled goes to a licensed landfill or transfer station.

City pickup comes once a month, must be at the curb on the right day, and refuses many items (construction debris, tires, appliances with freon, and anything over the size limit). We come when you call, take it from inside the house, and handle the items the city won’t.

All of Houston and every surrounding suburb: Katy, Sugar Land, Pearland, Cypress, Spring, The Woodlands, Pasadena, Baytown, Humble, Kingwood, League City, Missouri City and more. No travel fees inside the Greater Houston area.

Pricing & Deals

Every job gets a free estimate based on how much space your items take up in our truck, not by the hour. Because we’re a small local company with no franchise overhead, our prices come in under the big brands, and if you have a written quote from another company, we’ll beat it. Seniors, veterans, teachers and first responders get extra discounts.

We keep single-item pickups affordable: one couch, one mattress or one fridge at the curb is our lowest price, and it drops further if the item is already outside. Bigger jobs are priced by the truckload, so you never pay for space you don’t use. Get a free, no-obligation estimate by phone or text and we’ll give you the exact number.

For a few small items, the cheapest route is the City of Houston heavy trash day, if you can wait for your monthly date and carry everything to the curb yourself. For anything heavy, bulky, or needed gone this week, a local junk removal service in Houston like ours costs less than renting a dumpster and includes all the labor. Bring us any written quote and we’ll beat it.

Jobs are priced by truck space, confirmed before we load. A single curbside item is our lowest price; a full truckload from a whole-house cleanout is the most. Every estimate is free, we beat any written quote, and seniors, veterans, teachers and first responders get an extra discount.

No. Same price every day of the week.

Cash, card and most digital payments, paid after the job is done.

Junk Removal Questions

No. Our crew removes items from wherever they are: upstairs bedrooms, backyards, attics, garages, storage units. Curbside pickups do cost a little less if you’d rather set things outside.

Yes. We haul refrigerators, freezers, and window AC units and take them to a facility that recovers the refrigerant properly. A small handling fee applies for freon appliances.

We sort every load. Usable furniture and household items go to Houston-area charities, metal and electronics are recycled, and only true trash goes to a licensed transfer station or landfill.

No. Junk Services Houston is a small, locally owned company. No franchise fees, no corporate call center, and no marketing overhead on your invoice, which is why we can beat the big-name prices.

Yes. We clear offices, retail spaces, warehouses, rental units and construction sites, and we can schedule around your business hours. See our commercial junk removal page for details.

Debris & Waste Removal Questions

Anything left over from building, remodeling, landscaping or storm damage: drywall, lumber, tile, cabinets, flooring, fence panels, tree limbs, brush, sod, bagged leaves and broken outdoor structures. If it’s a pile, we haul it.

For most homeowner projects, yes. A dumpster has a flat rental price plus permit and overage fees, and you do all the loading. We price by the space your debris uses, load it for you, and come the same day.

Yes, in manageable amounts. Heavy materials are priced by weight rather than volume, so text us a photo and we’ll quote it accurately before we come out.

Yes. We work with contractors on scheduled pickups, end-of-day loads and multi-day projects. Ask about recurring job-site debris removal.

You can, if your items qualify and you can wait up to a month. The city refuses construction debris, tires, freon appliances and oversized items, and everything has to be at the curb on the right day. We come when you call and take it from inside.

Yes, for apartment communities, HOAs, offices and job sites. Weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, scheduled around your needs.

Every load is sorted. Recyclables go to recyclers, usable goods to charities, and only true waste to a licensed transfer station or landfill.
